Carbon Fiber Handling Package & New Colors

Without a doubt the 2020 Shelby GT500 set the highest bar yet for Mustang performance. When fitted with the optional, but pricy Carbon Fiber Track Package, the Golden Ticket ride is an absolute monster in the turns. That is unlikely to change with the 2021 model, but there is a new option and fresh colors on the way for the second model year of the Predator.

Ford recently offered the media a peek of the updates across its entire model lineup. That included the 2021 Mustang models, most notably the Shelby GT500. The new option for the halo performer is a Carbon Fiber Handling Package. It offers a bit more in the way of performance than the Handling Package, which only added a Gurney flap and splitter wickers for $1,500.

The new Carbon Fiber Handling Package includes 20-inch black-painted carbon fiber wheels, adjustable strut top mounts, an oil catch can, a Gurney flap and splitter wickers. Since this package includes far less content than the $18,500 Carbon Fiber Track Package, it is likely safe to assume its price point will fall somewhere in between the two previous options, but pricing for the new package has yet to be announced.

In addition to the new package, the 2021 GT500 will also be available in three new colors, which sound tantalizing. They include Antimatter Blue, Carbonized Gray, and Grabber Yellow.
