Mike Medley has gained recognition in the world of foxbody cars for owning one of the cleanest and most meticulously detailed vehicles in the community. Additionally, Mike operates a company called Southeast Foxbody from his residence in Georgia. I learned more about Mike's activities by listening to the FiveO Asylum podcast. Over time, Mike has owned multiple fox body Mustangs. One particular vehicle that attracted considerable attention was a 1992 SSP car, which he sold to acquire the car featured here.
Mike decided to sell the SSP to a collector because the car, with all its decals and safety equipment still intact, wasn't the kind of vehicle you could just jump into and drive. He was already aware of the red coupe featured here, as it had been displayed at a Ford show. After getting in touch with the owner and discovering that the car had been sold, Mike received the new owner's information. Remarkably, within just two weeks of the new owner's possession and after covering only 15 miles, a deal was made.
Having knowledge about some of the previous owners and the car's history, Mike felt confident purchasing the already modified vehicle and adding his personal touches, along with his remarkable attention to detail. The car had initially been a 4-cylinder automatic, but it underwent a complete transformation, including a repaint in the original red EP paint code, a black interior, and a V8 engine swap. The list of modifications applied to the build is truly impressive, as you'll see below.
